Curriculum

The literacy and foundation subject curriculum at HPAK is based upon the new national curriculum. It has been developed across all year groups to make natural links between different foundation subjects and literacy wherever possible. Each year group has a theme each half term and the foundation areas for learning for each year group are then allocated so that class teachers can develop a medium term plan that covers the requirements of the national curriculum but also provides a context to learning for pupils.

The following overview provides the outline upon which teachers develop the plan.

The numeracy and literacy curriculum is still based on the national primary framework with some additions from the new maths curriculum.
